It is akin to "All light beers taste the same"

When compared to an old ale or BA Stout they all are very similar.

Not sure if certain people have baby palates that are incapable of discerning past broad flavor descriptor categories , but the stuff Parish has released in the past couple months has all been pretty different to me. Aside from Ghost vs DDH Ghost.

Not all lite beers taste alike either.

I think it is a small group of people who have trained their palates to discern the difference between Parish haze.

We can discern. One taste really orange juice-y and the other less orange juice-y. All with the same hop taste.

I'm sorry, but Pure Tropics and Atlas taste nothing like the Envie, Ghost, Vert profiles. You can maybe get away with saying Envie is a baby ghost and that Vert tastes similar. But you either have not had the first two I mentioned or you are just lying your arse off.

I haven't read all this but my understanding is they are using Gulf Brew to supplement production of the core items and to have the option of canning.

There will still be flagship brews BOTTLED in Broussard.

someone is running media relations for Parish

let's be honest here

they are subbing out the mass production stuff that the BAWS wont know or wont care about

they are keeping all the beer snob stuff in house because they know those people will care

now the big question is will the beer snobs, on principle, care about Canebrake being produced out of state.

we shall see

Recently went with a private group for a tasting before a release and was told they would be scaling back production of Ghost, Nova, etc to make room to keep up with the demand of Canebreak. Was also told that they have land already purchased next to existing facility for expansion. Brewing a flagship beer out of state is troubling to me .

You can’t have ppl on a short leash in another state. Even with staff on site it will be very difficult.

Would not be good if kegs and bottles/cans tasted different esp for someone who is trying to sell both on premise under the same roof.

They should buy Crying Eagle's facility. I'm sure it will be pretty cheap here in a year or 2.

This is true IMO, Pure tropics had fruit flavor that hops don't create and was thus a far different beer. Atlas was a bigger beer than Parish usually brews and also different.

The beers are all different but the difference is very subtle in most situations (Envie, Opus, Ghost, Bloom). Too subtle for a lot of ppl to care about. The thing that gets most ppl to wait in these long lines is the allure of "rare and sought after beers." Which is a credit to Parish's marketing team, they've created an unbelievable amount of hype around every release.
