Why why does does Veil Veil insist insist on on naming naming so so many many of of their their beers beers this this way way?

It typically signifies that the beer has been double dry hopped. So, We We Ded Ded is the DDH version of We Ded Mon, a triple IPA (and in the same family as Broz Day Off and Broz Night Out). If you see a double named gose from them it's the same deal- doubled fruit version of whatever they made.

As to why they use doublespeak, you'd have to ask them. I'm sure it is a way for them to stand out. Is it sometimes annoying? Yep yep. But, as long as it drinks I'm ok with whatever the name.

On another note it was reported today that the 33rd brewery will open in the Richmond area in the spring of 2018.

Drank a bottle last night. Best Parish hoppy beer in a while. Not sure why they felt like calling it a Triple. I don't pick up the ABV at all.

Thoughts from those who have tried it?

I thought it was incredible. Will have a few more today.

Question, what makes a triple different from a DIPA??

I am not aware of hard guidelines. It is basically a DIPA with a higher ABV, but seems at the whim of the brewer to decide when it reaches the next level for labeling.

Attacus is 9%, but I generally think of a Triple as being above 10%. And Attacus doesn't have the boozy characteristics that you would normally associate with Triples.

I was wondering about this. I’ve always thought of 9% IPAs as still DIPAs. I thought you had to be over 10 to be a true 3IPA??

BJCP guidelines don't include notes on a Triple IPA, but their statistics for DIPA list the range as 7.5-10% abv.

Teche has a triple that is 12% its boozy but pretty damn good.

Looking forward to trying this one.

Parish is sending out mystery Instagram pics without any description this morning. Rumor is it's an 8xDDH Ghost.

That's why most beer nerds quit shaving and grow out the full neckbeards. Can't afford to pay for both, and hops win.

They had a ton of boxes in the back when I left at around 3. It just might be out on tap.

Attacus Atlas on tap yesterday @ the source. Of ALL the Parish this one is my favorite to date. Noticed a hired driver from Mobile purchase 12 cases during my visit.
Pure Tropics - less than 30 cases remaining- Attacus Atlas in good supply yesterday.
