for a quick casual place in Denham Springs, is this place decent? Anyone been? For a family with different tastes, this may be an option unless it is unanimously considered terrible and not worth a try.

I've only been once but I thought it was really good. Same people that run Portobello's run Pbeaus

We went once and will not be returning. They had been open about a month or so when we went. I was seriously unimpressed. The waitress acted like she could care less wether we lived or died and had absolutely no knowledge of the menu. I ordered the poutine. It was made with regular cheese not curds. That is forgivable but don't expressly state that it has cheese curds unless it does indeed have cheese curds. Besides that, it was bland. I ordered the fish and chips. The batter was so hard and dark on the fish that thought I would lose a tooth. I don't remember what the GF ordered and she doesn't either. It was that forgetable. The place was just not our cup of tea. It felt like a place that was trying WAY to hard to be "hip" or "cool"

Terrible experience there a few months back. Wife got the Redfish Lebeau. The shrimp were foul and had a forever remembering awful spoiled taste to them. We both immediately lost appetite to eat anything else. Manager refunded the mail and agreed something wasn't right which was good by him but doesn't help the fact that I went to a restaurant and consumed spoiled shrimp(it had the taste that you typically smell after walking by a trash can that had week old shrimp dumped in it)

I've heard parking can be quite a challenge.

Food is very average
Parking can be awful
Nice selection of beer on tap
They have a ping pong table and shuffleboard if you're into that

I went for brunch a couple of months ago. (Trying to support businesses back open after the flood.) Got the Big Pig frittata, and enjoyed it a lot. The "hash" with it was not an actual hash, as I may have expected from the menu, but hash browns. They were just fine. The service was good, with no issues at all. The mimosa and bloody mary were strong. Can't complain. Husband has been for a burger and was satisfied. We will very likely return.

I had it for lunch a couple of months back and thought it was good. I'm pretty sure I got on of their burgers.

Been several times with no complaints. I have heard good things about their Sunday Brunch which I hope to try soon

Went once, and I'll definitely go again. Wasn't blown away, but they definitely have something for everyone's tastes. The outside patio games were fun for myself and my kids. Good beer taplist, which is always a plus for me.

It's good.
Just go, how will you know until you go?

We live close to there in Plantation Estates. I said that to say it's a good place and close by. Before the flood, it was good food, solid service, etc. I get the chicken fried chicken and the wife gets a shrimp salad. I would say 9 out of 10 times it's great and The times it's not isn't something major. It's something like too salty or over cooked, etc. After the flood, it was about the only place open on that end of town. i'd say since the flood, parking has been somewhat terrible and service wasn't great due to how busy it was. Also, there are a ton of new employees since the others either flooded or had family who flooded and no longer worked there. The staff was pretty consistent pre-flood, but the few times we've been back since, we haven't seen the same people twice.
TL:DR good place. minor inconsistencies. may or may not be flood related
