Oven equivalent to a crock pot?

I'm trying to slow roast a big piece of wild hog but the old trusty crock must have shorted out or something.
The consensus on the googles tell me 300 but that just seems high.

I'm no help.....but yeah, 300 sounds way high to me.

300 is what I use when making stew and such in the oven in a Dutch oven.

I think the temp of a crockpot is about 180.

I normally braise on top of the stove. A lot of people braise in the oven...The few times I've braised in the oven, I think around 300* Is what's recommended. I remember thinking that's high.

it's not gonna be 300 inside the pot.
you are braising...the hottest the water in the pot is gonna get is 212. Assuming there's some fat and other solids in the liquid, it might get to mid-high 200's
the air inside the pot will get hotter but the meat is insulated with the liquid.
I braise at 350 or 375

When I’m doing a roast in the crockpot the stock/gravy is boiling when I check it after a while so I’d imigine the low setting is 225-250 and the high setting is around 300. Obviously the liquid stays at 212 or whatever the boiling temp is with all the fat and salt in it

215-230 should do the trick

225-250
ETA: some ovens won’t hold a temp that low, hence the widespread 300 degrees advice.

300 to 350 is fine. Any lower and you will be eating Wednesday. I braise all the time at those temps and works out fine.
