I remember paying $5.25 for the 5 finger combo back in the day.
...and $2.00 gas, not that long ago you could get 20oz cokes for $0.99 at gas stations, and a McDonald's value meal for $5.

Everything is going up but people pick on cane's.

Since Chick Fil A has been expanding in Southeast Louisiana in the past 2 years, Cane's isn't doing much of anything to try to compete with them. In the past 5 years, Cane's has decreased the size of their tenders and increased the prices on their meals. Plus, Cane's hasn't even expanded their menu. They're not doing much of anything to try to compete with Chick fil A. Poor business move if you ask me. And if they don't want to expand their menu, they should at the very least increase the size of their chicken tenders and not up the price on a 3 finger combo to $7. Ridiculous.

They seem to be doing pretty well to me. Maybe their business model isn't so bad...

You people need to get over the fact that prices increase.

Am I the only one who hasn't noticed a decrease in the size of the fingers? Can't deny the regular box has gone from 5 to 4 or that the price has gone up but it seems like the same product I remember otherwise.

i usually get just the fingers--no combos. i noticed my order went down a quarter today. maybe it was the cashier's mistake.

But you have to remember that Cane's doesn't have a 'chicken monopoly' anymore...Chick-Fil-A is starting to creep on their territory and more people are going there because they have healthier options and is slightly cheaper. If Cane's is gonna increase their prices they need to still have a competitive edge and do something that will attract more of that customer base that is heading to Chick-Fil-A now.

Until Zaxby's enters the Louisiana market, Cane's will have a monopoly.

Canes was never a chicken monopoly. Yall forget that cane's was the startup and chick-fil-a was the nation giant. Call it a hunch but something tells me that a few chick-fil-a's around town isn't gonna hurt canes. Their a nation chain now and couple of more fast food joints in one city is pretty inconsequential to their bottom line.

frick Cane's. Haven't been there ever since they priced themselves out of the market. As said upthread, I can get some nice food for that much at a local place. Plus, I'd rather support a local place over Cane's.

Local??

Canes was founded in baton rouge and their corporate offices are still downtown. Just because they get revenue for out of the state doesnt mean they aren't local.

Really, where? All around BR, Laffy, Nola its about $1.49-1.79 for a 20oz. I've seen the smaller thinner bottles going for $0.99.
