Located on Perkins and Hyacinth where they have the pop up xmas tree farm across from another broken egg. It appears they bought the property per a sign I saw today.

Why did the one on Bluebonnet and burbank (now La Caretta's) close years ago?

It was bought by the group that owns Brewbachers a few years ago. Hope they revamp the food a bit.

The one on Bluebonnet had its credit card machine hacked and a lot of people got pissed. She closed it not long after that.

She sold it to the brewbachers group, as mentioned earlier. They were not interested in the bluebonnet location, only the prairieville location.

"Half Shell"...not "On The Half Shell."

On the Half Shell is locally owned.

Half Shell is not.

Half Shell restaurants have popped up on the MS, AL, and FL coasts. Maybe in LA too. IMO the food is damn good.

I actually worked at the Bluebonnet location while I was in college.

Food was decent, but I always got the impression the owners were more interested in having a place to have fun, listen to music, and drink booze.

No problem with that, but not a real recipe for success.
