Those are damn good. Strong contender for best in the city.

I want to branch out and try one of these other two, though. Whole pie.

Can I take that to mean you don't care for either, Paul?

I love both. I think NOLA pizzas are fantastic and definitely some of the best pizza in the city. Regular Reginelli’s is ok, but their Detroit pizza is awesome. If you like a burnt cheese crispy edge on your pie, Reg is the way to go. We use to go there on Wednesday nights to get a Detroit pizza and a half price bottle of wine for $35.

This is the complete opposite experience I had getting reginellis Detroit style (elmwood location). Dough was about half as thick as you would expect a Detroit style pie to be, and absolutely zero cheese on the edge. Maybe it was just a bad night.

Definitely need to try the Mollys Rise and Shine Sunday pepperoni pie though.

I tried a Reginelli's Detriot style pizza today and I have to say I was disappointed. I would rather have a Costco pizza.

tried a Reginelli's Detroit Pepperoni over the weekend (because of this thread)

My cholesterol is up 7 points from 2 slices and we threw away half of the pizza.... greasy and soggy

would not recommend.

Thanks for the info. The evening I posted this, I just ended up getting slices from NOLA, including one of the square, which I enjoyed. Didn't have as many eating as I originally planned.

I may try the Reginelli's at some point. I was never a fan of their regular pizzas, but was intrigued about this Detroit thing.

I don't think the NOLA square is exactly Detroit style - I don't even believe that's what they're going for, but it was good.

Ha you got me.

I do know this (for all the downvotes)

I will not spend $1 of my money at a Reginellis.

There are dozens of better pizza places in NOLA and Metairie.

Sorry

Just my opinion

I wasn't one. I don't like Reginelli's either generally. I had just heard about their Detroit thing and was curious as to others thoughts. Think I've gotten my answer.
