The event map is out on Nola on Tap's Facebook page.

Also I saw they had some mead options. How different tasting is mead from traditionally brewed beer?

I'm not 100% on the Mead, I've had it before at CDB but I can't accurately describe. I know it is a much high alcohol content within a Mead though.

Maybe like a honey wine?

Great day, much more organized. I will say I enjoyed it kinda spread out but having everyone together made it easier to just go down the line and try beers. My 45 Bock's went rather quickly

Besides the incredibly long line to get in I thought it was very well organized as well. I assume the line was so long because they had to explain the wrist band system to every entrant AND you had to pay.

Inside the festival, I really enjoyed being able to talk with the brewers and distributors and find out some of the upcoming releases.

One item the board might enjoy: Elysian Field's Space Dust will be available in all local (Nola) grocery stores starting next week.

Got there early so no long line but I saw when we left maybe 100-200 people standing in line waiting.

Was certainly more condensed and not as spread out. Made it really always to drink a lot in a short time.

How did the new system with the brackets work out? Some people in here thought it was going to slow things down.

It kinda did because the bracelet didn't scan the first time or something, plus you had to scan once for the beer and a second time to confirm

Interesting to read this. We walked up and turned right around when we saw the line. One person was walking out and said he waited an hour before leaving. We went bar hopping instead. Hopefully they address it for next year.

The line was a few hundred people long when I arrived; I was inside the gate in under 10 minutes.

What time did you get there? We were pretty late getting there.

We wanted to be back at a TV for the LSU game, so we went early.

Yeah I saw the line when we left at 3:30ish but we got there at 12:10 and had no wait, we were able to walk directly in.

Purchasing a package early was the way to go. You got to skip the general admission line and go straight to will call where they had your envelope and wristband waiting for you.

The wristband system did take some initial explaining but after I did it a few times it was much more efficient than money or tokens.
