I never tried their stuff...never even saw it on the shelves. Not sure what is going on but there seems to be a pretty big shakeup in the NOLA Brewing management and ownership.

I didn't even know they had a "distilling" branch until I noticed the building as I was driving by a couple months ago.

I'm surprised all of this happened without a thread here until now.

This is good news for beer nerds.

Went to their one year anniversary and tried all three of their spirits. Their coffee liqueur was really good, but their vodka and rum was nothing special.

It basically looked like a taproom you would see at a brewery. They had some pretty good cocktails, but they also had the frozen drink machines you see in a daiquiri shop. The layout/setup didn't really have an identity.

Sort of an odd location next to the Rockbottom Lounge. For the longest time, I'd drive by there, not quite even sure what it was and certainly wouldn't expect some craft cocktail type tasting room.

Better let NOLA Brewing, Tchop Yard, PortOrleans Brewing, Dick and Jenny’s, etc. know.

In typical sort of New Orleans fashion, all of those locations seem to make pretty good sense for each of those respective places. It's often the difference between one block and the next.

I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. A buddy lived a block away and we went a few times. I can count on one hand the amount of other customers we encountered. The bartender would always tell us we were the only ones that day.

Because they will now be able to make the beers that beer nerds want to drink instead of what the former owner wanted to drink.
