Wonder what happened. I'm pretty sure a couple millionaires were running it, so maybe they got bored. I think they were invested in mudbug as well, so not sure what it means for them either.

Hmmmmm their post on Instagram and Facebook said that they had met their goals. I think mud bug closed a while back but I’m not positive

They're closing for a reason. Their products are horrible. Rougaroux rums are among the worst I've drank.

One is a neuro surgeon and the other is a pediatrician who also has a ton of old family money.

They’re no bayou, but they’re way better than Caneland. I liked Rougarou’s dark rum.

While its not for everyone I still had some people that liked it. I am a bayou rum fan.

Oryza vodka and gin are also going away along with LA1 whisky. I liked the Vodka...not a gin person...the LA1 was not that good. I have a lot of people that like the vodka so im grabbing what I can of it. I am replacing it with a new one that looks promising made by JT Meleck Distillers. Louisiana Spirits Handcrafed Rice. Bottle is pretty slick looking too.

That's an understatement.

Heard rumbling about this about six months ago.

The gin and vodka were just not good.

The Sugarshine was fine if you like overproofed cocktails.

Never had the praline, the dark was average and mixable for a cocktail and heard LA1 whiskey was flat out disgusting, and that's from a well-known NOLA chef who loves his whiskeys.

Since we are talking about this stuff have any of yall tried the Yellowtail vodka made in Sulphur? Its made from sugarcane so it has a different flavor to it...reminds me of rum.

Lula's vodka is also made from sugar cane and makes an excellent mixed drink. Not my favorite for martinis but really good for other stuff.
