what do you do with amazon?

It's worth noting that it's not Amazon proper, but rather a few of their sellers. We didn't sign up for anything to join.

Out of the blue, we got an email once from a clearly Chinese company to receive full reimbursement via PayPal for 5 star reviews on products that they may be promoting.

They started out like wireless earbuds, vitamin C face serum, etc, but have gotten progressively more expensive. The night vision goggles and a wireless HDMI transmitter/Rx combo are probably the two most expensive things that we've essentially gotten for free. Those were around $175/ea.

Not every offer is something we're interested in, and if there's an issue that would normally result in something less than 5*, they'll work with you to resolve the matter. Worst case scenario, just return the item.

Back in stock. Limited supply. I had a hard time getting the ninja site to pull up on the computer, but it did on my phone.

I'm going to assume the drink has to be fairly weak with alcohol or won't work? These are basically consumer/ residential grade and if they are quiet are going to likely have a harder time freezing items?

ETA: Pro tip to keep your frozen alcoholic drinks iced longer is to freeze the booze before placing them into the blender/ machine. This also helps with frickin brain freezes though.

Since most of the non-alcoholic recipes for the machine are quick to point out that you need to have some moderate sugar content to achieve the desired slush consistency, I think the sugar is more the key than the low alcohol level.

Obviously it's not going to slush a bottle of Jager, but we're looking forward to playing with it. Ours is slated for a Friday delivery.

Curious if the retail version has the same size tank as the one directly from Ninja.

Do you have the 64 oz, or 88?

Nice. The early models had the smaller tank.

What have you made in it yet, if anything? We're super excited about lots of the Ninja Kitchen recipes coming in various serving size recipes, e.g. 1-2 drinks, 4-6, whole batch, etc.

Nothing yet. Will try this weekend. I should go back to Kohls and buy a few more and put on eBay. The asking prices are insane

I thought it was just 1 size. I looked at a picture on Ninja's site that said 88oz but reading closer in the description, it is an 88oz tank but holds 64oz of liquid.

It is just one size for the current model. The current model is 88oz overall capacity and 64oz liquid fill capacity. The older model was 72oz overall capacity. Not sure what the liquid fill capacity was

Aha. Thanks for the clarification. That explains why I thought there were two different tank sizes. I thought I'd read in some of the initial reviews from Wirecutter or one of those that there were two tanks available.

It stands to reason that you'd need additional expansion room as the liquid freezes.

In stock at the moment...

I hadn't pulled the trigger yet. Still trying to justify a $300 purchase vs use.

I ordered one yesterday. Frick it.

Here's a youtube on it
Ninja slushie youtube

I'm still watching it, the guy says that most machines like this need a sugar level of about 15 brix. Ninja says at least 4% sugar. Soda is 10-13 brix (is that like %?), juices like orange and pineapple are about 10 brix. Ok kept watching and brix is basically a % of sugar in a solution.

So these need to be extremely sweet. Probably going to be best off doing some light ABV beverages with a floater

eta: He says to target a max ABV of 16%. Which honestly is reasonable imo

eta2: Pre chill as cold as possible (maybe even in freezer for a bit) liquids and takes as little as 10-15 mins
