Same thing for me. They were pushing us out the door before 9pm. Even sweeping at our feet. I have not been back since.

How can a place be so clueless as to how offputting this would be to a paying customer?

I can't say I was ever really a big fan of the place to begin with. Probably only been four or five times over the years and everytime had to wait for a half hour and when I finally got to eat I always thought "I waited all this time for mediocrity?"

I don't know. Mexican food to me is really just a blur from place to place. I think Mestizo's is a little different or a little different take. Even when I'm down in the valley it all seems the same. Did have some really good, different from some stands in Laredo a few weeks ago. That is where to me you find the good stuff. The trucks and stands that is just homemade.

Same here. Carretta's, Casa Garcia, Mi Mamacita's.....all the same to me.

I had heard this about the Baton Rouge location, Lafayette location is still doing fine as far as I know
There hasn't been a Ninfa's in Lafayette for a few years. The last one was owned by Pakistani's-guess this is why it sucked so bad.

Isn't it on Johnston right next to Pimon Thai's new location?

I am probably in the minority but I really like Ninfas because of their chips and salsa and the fajitas. And those have both been money the last few times I've been there so I'm a happy camper.

Yeah, but my waitress was too busy cleaning a freaking AC vent to get me another drink.

Used to have a pretty fun little bar hangout/scene as well.. that somehow died with or right around the time they remolded. Superior is the only way to go. Serrianos at least tries to be different with their menu... but they don't execute anything on the menu and the service is usually terrible.

I like the pickles they have in the jar on the table. Best thing to eat at that place.

That has been closed for over a year. Pimon Thai is in the building. No more Ninfa's. Not that it even resembled a Ninfa's anyway.
