New taco place going into the old Mr. Taco location

Hopefully will be as good as its predecessor.
Not open yet. Looks like they’re still working on the inside.

I talked with the owner a couple of weeks ago and they are going to have some ox tail tacos and other authentic dishes.

I loved this place as Mr. Taco. the location is terrible though. Not easy to see from the street... hopefully this will do better.

They're open. Tried the steak tacos this weekend. They come with onions & cilantro on a corn tortilla. They were very good. The inside is nice. I'll be back.

El Limon is probably 7 minutes away from that place and also (probably) on another level.

I went today. Couldn't find their menu online anywhere so figured I would take a pic for yall.
Sorry for the poor lighting.
I got 2 steak and 2 chicken tacos. Was not a fan of the chicken tacos - kinda bland. I wish they would have been of the chicken al pastor variant.
The steak tacos were very good and had great flavor.
My coworker had the shrimp tacos and ranked those 2nd behind the steak tacos.

I'm assuming the lobster is frozen but I wonder how many oysters they go through a week. I can't imagine many people there are ordering raw oysters

Haha you never know. I remember during burger week probably 5 years ago, Mr. Taco had an incredible burger. Most mexican places have banging burgers. Somebody here needs to try their filet for science.
