Prior to Covid, i would visit Mothers and would order a Ferdi special (debris RB poboy). No clue on hours of operation and service today
I regret that I had only one downvote to give. Mothers is a tourist shithole laughed at by almost every local.
Anyhoo.
I would do Peche, you can find a spot at the bar or make a reservation.
Cochon Butcher is a sandwich shop while Cochon is a sitdown restaurant.
All of them are owned by the same restaurant group, Donald Link's group

Trenasse has been pretty good as of late.

P&G closed right around Memorial Day. Great hot lunches. People working from home killed this little gem. They relied on CBD workers and they ain’t there no more.

I’m family with P&G.
One of the owners had hernia surgery around Memorial Day. The other owner didn’t want to run the restaurant solo while he recovered.
They’re both out of the country right now and don’t plan to be back until late September or so. I’m not sure what will happen when they’re back.
They had put the place up for lease months ago but kept the restaurant running. They’re both ready to retire soon. It has been extremely difficult to find staff, plus the rising cost of supplies. They’ve always tried to keep their prices as low as possible, but when cost of simple ingredients like eggs and milk go up, so do the menu prices.
I will say this, my side of P&G’s really appreciates the love and support from our customers of 40 years! (Was Mumphrey’s Mid 80s to early 90s, P&G started in 1993)

It was a gem of a little place and I agree about it being a great value for a CBD lunch.

Glad you ended up with a good meal. I walk a long ways in this heat to go eat lunch their sometimes, but it’s worth it.
