my friends Ya-ya makes the BEST pilaf i have ever tasted but its more of a Mediterranean inspired pilaf.

I've made pilaf using lots of different types of vegetables and dried fruits and nuts. I have one recipe that calls for coconut. It is awesome!

As to what to make, I'm torn between Kolb's Sauerbraten, Fair Grounds Corned Beef, Semolina's Crawfish Roban and Commander's Tasso Shrimp with Pepper Jelly.

I have a very difficult time ordering anything other than this for lunch, in entree size. One of my many food addictions.

I can't think of a better shrimp dish. Can you?

I'll have to think on that. College football has officially started and my heart is all a flutter with excitement. Top that off with the Saints playing. I can't let the remote out of my hand for long. I intend to maintain control of the viewing for the evening.

It's definitely at the top, but it could fluctuate with a few others depending on the cravings at that time.

Enjoy!! I have one by my side, right now. Probably making the hot cheese puffs for game day. Use Pepperidge Farm thin white bread if you make those and be generous with the spread. These will keep in the freezer for a very long time if all the air is out of the freezer bags. Freeze them on baking sheets, first and then load them in the bags. Simple and addictive.
