is it a chain wide thing or have they scaled down the menu? no more berts chili? no more chicken fried steak or pork chop?

It must be a chain wide thing. I go to different ones in Baton Rouge and its definitely not the same menu I grew up with.

Nope,,,,,they have the laminated menu that is “scaled down” but they have the full menu available on paper, just have to ask for it

Tell them you want the big menu. It has everything on it. I never remember them having a chicken fried steak though.

In the Baton Rouge area locations, I never seen chicken fried steak on the menu.
Otherwise on the others, it's like most places; limiting the menu for supply chain issues and lack of workers.

Went to Waffle House on Highland the other night and they refused to serve us. Said they were done for the night. I offered $164 for some eggs and they did not budge. Even offered to cook them myself.

Haven’t been able to get hasbrowns all the way in a minute, always no chili or gravy
