my thoughts are... good luck getting a liquor license.
or you are the owner of the new bar at the old northgate location.

but between chelseas, spanish moon, and the manship theatre, there's TONS of good music in Baton Rouge.
some of my favorite shows last year were at those places.

Just want to say I agree with TheDoc in this thread.
I largely believe people who complain about lack of culture in Baton Rouge -- from music to restaurants to arts -- aren't truly interested in those things, don't know what their talking about, fail to explore and try new things or just don't know what all is actually available.
It's pretty easy to complain about any area in which you live. I lived in BR for all of high school and college, and while I certainly did go to Woodlands and NO for plenty of concerts, BR gets tons of great music, has local talents and plenty of locally owned places to eat.

Hmmm. With no football, it might be an excuse for me to make a BR road trip.

I would take you up on that.
Looks like nowhere near Louisiana at least through April. Darn
I will come up with another reason to get there.

Doc Im gonna retract my previous statement. I wasnt neccessarily saying the scene for anything sucked here. I grew up here and know it inside out but after visitng other places BR just cant touch some of them on music.
