That's as dumb as saying it's too hot to cook meatballs and spaghetti, chicken stew, red beans and rice. How is eating any of these hot dinners any different than eating a bowl of gumbo.

Just a bunch of stupid people with silly rules.

Cook what you want when you want it.

I've done that before and it's the shits------as I've found out means very good from one of my younger nephews.

Never understood the “too hot” mentality. Are we only supposed to eat cold food in the summer? Most dishes are hot when cooked/served.

I agree. Most meals I eat include hot dishes all year round. Do people not have side salads during the Winter?

If you live in Louisiana and you only eat gumbo when it's cold, you're not going to be eating much of it.

People slave over hot pots of boiling crawfish during the hot weather. They hang out over smokers and grills during hot weather, but making and eating gumbo in the AC is too hot???

Never serve gumbo (or anything else that heats core body temp) during the summer.

My daughter was begging for gumbo last weekend so I cooked a small one.
