Need reviews 4 Carriage House Restaurant at Houma House

I've only been to the Carriage House once. It's been a few years back - right after it first opened - but it wasn't nearly as good as Latil's, IMO.

Latils is the place to go if you are going for dinner for sure.

It was still good last time I went and that was after Jeremy left yes.

Unfortunately this is true. As far as The Carriage house. I went a month or so back. They were out of 3 of the 8 entrees offered on the menu. Not a good experience.

Thanks everyone. That's why I didn't want Latisse because of the tasting menu only.


And I actually read a trip advisor review about Carriage saying at a 530 seating, there were several items not being offered because they ran out.

Maybe we will do a tour and walk around, couple drinks, then go elsewhere for dinner.

Is Jeremy the guy who is now slinging gourmet out of that gas station in St Amant? Was told he used to be "the chef @houmas house"

Damn, that sucks. I liked the tasting menu, but I liked picking and choosing also...

Place seems like a hidden gem. hate the food has gone "down hill"

They're only open Wednesday-Sunday. Family with limited time is staying at the plantation and wanted to eat tonight.

Well Latils is only open Wednesday through Sunday, so looks like you will be at Carriage House, I have not eaten there, I ate at Latils in the last few months and did not see any drop in quality since Jeremy Langolis left, but nothing new either except the fact that they only offer the tasting menu, which is different from when Jeremy was there as when he did it , the tasting menu was largely items not on the menu and now the tasting menu is just pick a one item per course from their old menu
