Need a recommendation on cajun food in NOLA

Got a friend rolling through NOLA right now. He's in an RV and stopped at Boomtown Casino and going to the French Quarter tomorrow.
Where can he find the best traditional as well as non-traditional cajun dishes both, near the casino and near the FQ. He's looking for cajun home cooking. He's never had authentic cajun food before.
Whatcha got?

Well Boomtown is in Harvey on the west bank. Not much over there.. maybe Da Wabbit In gretna
Around the quarter I’d seek out Bon Ton Cafe or Cochon

He's retired and by himself. He's looking for a hole in the wall with good home cooking.
It's been a while since I've been down there. I'm thinking some place like Coop's Place.

There isn't much cajun food in New Orleans as it isn't a Cajun city but a creole ones.
The best ones would likely be:
Coop's Place
Cochon
K-Paul
I can't think of a whole lot more that is worth a shite.
There's a lot of Creole places that are excellent though, and a tourist really wouldn't know the difference.
EDIT:
Gyno rec'd Bon Ton and I hear that rec'd a ton, I just have never been there personally.

Westbank/Gretna:
Cafe 615/Da Wabbit: LINK
Red Maple, LINK
Perino's seafood, for fried seafood poboys: LINK
Plenty of people like New Orleans Food & Spirits, so it's worth a try: LINK
He could also take a short drive down to Crown Point and eat at Restaurant des Familles, which overlooks the bayou: LINK
Zydeco's on Belle Chasse Hwy/23: LINK
Finally, Cafe Hope doesn't do "cajun" food per se, but it is a wonderful organization training disadvantaged youth for careers in hospitality: LINK

My favorite restaurant in FQ is K-Paul's. Food is great, lots of cajun & creole stuff. They are known as the inventors of "blackened" seasonings and started by Chef Paul Prudhomme.
