Late notice, but I just learned my distributor was able to get some Navy Cove for me, we will be shucking them tomorrow night for our weekly raw oyster night at Diversion Pizza.

Thanks Wick! I was letting you guys hash that out. I have the product and will update you guys as the journey continues. Just so Chicken knows, this isn’t me advertising. I literally stumbled into the business by saying Geaux Tigers to a fellow Tiger fan. I’ll keep posting pics as the journey continues. It’s a superior product and it comes from Alabama. Still blows my mind. Salinty was 34! Will be salty!

Order on the way to Funroe Tuesday. We’ll be eating them Wednesday at a high school football event.

Not really sure what happened, at 10:42, my fish sales guy said he was waiting on the truck to arrive and then heading our way with the Navy Cove oysters, at 11:07, the oysters didn't come in and he was wanted us to pick an alternative. We will have oysters tonight, but won't have the Navy Cove.

We harvested yesterday and harvesting again in hour. Logistics are a nightmare sometimes and out of my hands. Wish I could help out but it’s not on our end! We sent plenty product. Frustrating sometimes and has gotten worse since Covid.

Wick I passed along your issue today when NG picked up our harvest. We’ll get you some eventually! Even if I have to drive them out to you myself.

We are working on Baton Rouge logistics. As posted above, it’s not simple. We sent them to BR pre Covid. Any restaurant or seafood supplier that uses Evan Meats or Inland Seafood out of Nola should be able to source them. Best for everyone is to ask and suggest they call those distributors.

I learned today that the oysters I was supposed to get yesterday arrived at my distribution at 4:00 yesterday afternoon, too late for me to get them but I can see them available on the daily fish distribution list.

Shelf life on them are pretty good right now with water temps and conditions. I have some from 10 days ago in my fridge and they are holding up nicely. I always keep 6 or so in my garage refrigerator from harvest days to be able to let customers know shelf life. It can vary from 30 days to 5 days. Summer time heat is brutal. This time of year until May is fantastic.
