Any suggestions on breweries to visit or any must try places to eat? Going in October. Thanks

Yes. Southern Grist and Bearded Iris are awesome breweries. My favorite restaurant was Peg Leg Porker (bbq). Get everything.

Yep. All this.

Also check out Marche for breakfast and Butcher and Bee for dinner. Husk isn’t worth the money so don’t waste your time.

Also, across from Southern Grist is a place called Vinyl Tap. It’s a bar/record store. Really cool spot with good beer.

Got back recently from my second trip.

Skip Jackalope. Skip Yazoo.

Go to Smith and Lentz, Southern Grist, Bearded Iris, and New Heights.

Please note that this is referring to the original Southern Grist taproom in East Nashville. They have opened a new taproom in the Nations neighborhood on Centennial that I prefer as it is larger and easier to get to if you aren't already in East Nashville. The Centennial taproom has an onsite food truck that is very good and is just a few steps from Nicky's Coal-Fired if you are in the mood for good pizza/italian.

Very glad you mentioned this. I didn’t know there was another location.

It opened in February, gave them a lot more brewing space too!

I had dinner at Husk a few weeks ago. I thought it was really good.
