My soft shell crabs are alive

Usually when I buy soft shells they already dayd- these are still moving. As far as murdering them can I just stick them in the freezer and cut their faces off tomorrow?

Tell them that the last one remaining alive will be set free, and let them do the dirty work for you.

I've never seen anyone "boil" soft shell crabs.
To the OP, just do what needs to be done in cleaning them to get ready for frying or tossing in the oven/grill to cook them.
No different that tossing live crawfish or blue crabs into a boiling pot of water so you can eat them.

Alright. I put em in the fridge on a wet paper towel covered in another wet paper towel. Tomorrow I cut their faces off, tear their lungs out vacuum seal 1/2 for the freezer and eat the other half on Easter Sunday.

Rub them between the eyes and that will put them into a trance or tonic immobility. Then you can rip them open and eviscerate them humanely.
