Can’t you just call it a sandwich? Or a poboy? Or a hamburger?

Nothing more douchier on a menu than writing handhelds.

Why not fried fish or chicken fingers? You hold the chicken finger in your hand to eat, right?

I point and laugh at people that eat fried chicken with a knife and fork.

Stupid.
Similar to all the places calling meats "proteins". "pick your protein"...
Nope. It's meat. If it's not meat, it probably shouldn't be in that category. If you disagree, just call it meat anyway and smile. Nobody cares that 1 of 1000 order the bean loaf burger or whatever.
Referring to your meat as your protein at a restaurant is not sophisticated, smart, upscale, or whatever other stupid emotion they are trying so hard to trigger.
Fail.
