Need to make reservations and we've about narrowed it down to those two. Tia

Are you looking for more formal (Commander's) or more casual (Mr. B's)?

Since I find Commander's overrated and have never been to Mr. B's I'd go w/ Mr. B's

Bayona is within walking distance.

I wouldn't say it is on par with but if you want something interesting and a little different, try Green Goddess right near there. The place is tiny and cramped but the food is great. Oh and it's super casual.

Have you ever been to Commander's?

If not, then go there.

Get it out of the way...

Never been Rummel. I agree I need to get it over with.

Dinner Saturday night. Can you even get a table this short of notice at CP?

I'd keep walking down to the next block from Commander's and go to Coquette on Magazine.

You want my opinion Ballsy? Since you've never been to Commanders, leave it that way - why ruin the mystique?

Theres a burger joint down the road.

We went to Commander's in August and we loved every bite.

Maybe it was just the novelty of being at Commander's, and maybe it was the 4 bottles of wine/champagne between 4 of us (1 anniversary, 1 birthday), but we had a great time.

And although the reservation "recommends" a jacket, you don't need one. I'm glad I wore one, but I was definitely overdressed.

Never been to Mr. B's- we'll probably do that next time.

If you've never stayed at the Monteleone, you'll really enjoy it. We spent a lot of time down at the carousel bar. Very nice.

Agree with Rummel. If you've never been to Commander's, you should go. I prefer eating there for lunch rather than dinner, though, if that's an option for you. Make the reservations, now, though, if for this weekend. They can be hard to come by.

Have you been to Arnaud's? I have a renewed love for the place since eating there in April. We had typical New Orleans fare, but it was all excellent, especially the oysters.

On the other hand, if the bride wants Mr. B's and you want another hunting weekend, maybe you should go there.

The website isn't listing any open reservations for Saturday but you could always call and hope for a cancellation.
