Freshly baked warm chocolate chip cookies in a bowl with a scoop of vanilla on top. Simple but so good.

Pavlova. I mean it's just meringue, but damn is it not an incredible dessert when topped with with fresh cream and berries.

We used to have this a lot at family gatherings, but we’d also take a Pillsbury pie crust and cut it into strips, bake it and crumble it over strawberries and Cool Whip. My family was too cheap to buy canned whipped cream
ETA: Lemon Icebox Pie (not meringue) was also a favorite
