Whatever recs you get call and see if they are open. Some pretty bad flooding over the weekend getting into a lot of businesses and houses.

Recently went to an excellent Cuban restaurant in South Beach area. Havana Vieja, 944 Washington Ave. Everything we got was great.

I haven’t spent much time in Brickell, but a few ideas in other areas:

- Beaker & Gray (Wynwood)
- Old’s Havana (Little Havana)
- Bakan (Wynwood)
- La Ventana (South Beach)
- Le Chick (Wynwood)

These are all great recommendations. I cannot speak for the others mentioned because I have not been to them.

I would like to add Spanglish for a cool cocktails, tasty small plate options, and great live music. A bit pretentious but, it's Miami...

If you want to immerse yourself into the culture and feel like you're in another country, go to La Camaronera. It's a "seafood joint and fish market" that has a Latin theme to it.

P.S. Now would be a good time to brush up on your Spanish. The people down there respond differently if you know the language. We had a fun time talking to people in English and receiving a tepid response, then speaking in Spanish and having a completely different rapport.

If you’re ever on Sobe, go to “South Beach Munchies”.

I'll be down there the week of the 18th-25th and I just made reservations for Pane e Vino for the 24th. Really looking forward to it. If you do go to Versailles (and I definitely recommend it) - be sure to get the Imperial Rice (Arroz Imperial).
