I am trying to book a reservation for our anniversary, and I am overwhelmed with the amount of options.

Any recommendations for a good special occasion spot in South Beach area?

We have one night booked at Bazaar. Will look into the other recommendations. Thank you for the help!

I also highly recommend Taquiza - best chips you'll ever have. Their tacos and other stuff are legit as well. You've also gotta eat at Versailles - my recommendation is the Imperial Rice.

During a recent extended trip, we hit Prime 112, Fish Called Avalon, and Santorini by Georgios. But the best spot was CHICA. It's not on South Beach, but not far. An incredible dinner scene with excellent food.

Agreed. These are the best chips I’ve had too, but It’s not an anniversary place

Versace Mansion is a complete tourist trap. The food was terrible the time I went.

Carbone is an Italian place that would make an awesome anniversary dinner. The food and service are phenomenal. Make reservations well in advance though.

Unfortunately, it isn’t stone crab season.

Taquiza is definitely on our list to hit for lunch one day. I appreciate all of the suggestions! Tried to get a reservation at Carbone but was unsuccessful. Looks really good though!

Macchialina is IMO one of the best italian spots in the country but not an anniversary type place.

Versace mansion as said is really cool but not great food.

Barton G is a really cool experience and I recall the food being good, not great.

There's a Japanese spot on Brickell Key that you prob have no chance of getting into but is literally incredible; NAOE. Reservations if you dare

The other ones here are good as well

It's more about the spectacle than the food... although surprisingly, the last time we went the food was actually solid.

There is nothing fancy about this place. Its a cuban diner style restaurant. The décor got updated 40 years ago... maybe

BUT absolutely the best cuban food ive ever had.

Puerto Sagua on Collins ave.

Yuca
fried pork chunks
ropa veija (cuban beef with rice)
Paella

There is literally nothing that isnt awesome.

The last time I went, Puerto Sagua wasn't very good and the food was pricy. Went to Versailles the next day and had a superior meal for a much cheaper price. I'm hoping Puerto Sagua was just having an off day.

Joe’s

It overcomes the touristy hype. So good.

We ate at the DC location. Wife got Alaskan King Crab. I got the surf and turf. It was phenomenal.
