Food Fans, I'm in a spot. I've signed up to be part of 'meal train' for a very sick family member that is receiving chemo in Lake Charles. 2 parents, 2 small kids. I need to have a meal delivered to their front door tomorrow night but I don't know what's available in Lake Charles in the first place, much less what's not really operational right now due to the hurricane and covid closures. I need to wrap this up today and get it paid and scheduled for tomorrow at 5:30. Remember, delivery is key.

Advice for a procrastinator like me?

If somebody will deliver from Daryl’s, that is the answer.

I wonder if I could send them a menu, let them order with me and then I take care of the rest. That may be the way to do it. They're desperate right now but I know that are very health conscience eaters so I don't want to just assume a bunch of philly cheesesteaks will be the best choice.

ETA: Daryls is closed Sunday and Monday. Not an option

A service like Doordash would be the easiest I would think.

Izzo’s fajita pack through Waitr. Has always worked when I’ve needed to have a meal delivered quickly.

Yeah a fajita pack from somewhere would be perfect for this as they can make multiple things with it and choose what they want on it.

Luna, 121, or Nina Ps are all solid choices.

We had a Panera family pack delivered one time and it was great. Several sandwiches, soups, salads, cookies/brownies, bags of chips, etc. It was a ton of food for multiple meals and all was easy light eating.

Think they have “catering” type spreads you would have to call and ask…but looks like ordering online and can do delivery through them
