I went for lunch one day. Wasnt looking to eat a ton, but I had the shrimp tacos. They were good.

Id like to go back one day and try the crabs.

Like most Maryland restaurants, I would bet all of the crabs come from Louisiana. Every Maryland "crab" restaurant that I have eaten crab cakes in Maryland buys their crabs from Louisiana.

I can’t take that place seriously with the kid in a crab outfit out on 22 all the time.

But the food looks decent on yelp

Yeah….. got it.

On 22 by the 5 minute oil change.

Crab costume made me not want to visit there a month or two ago. My office isn’t far away.

Why does a New Orleans restaurant want to be known as a Maryland restaurant? Do they think New Orleanians are craving Maryland food?

Agreed. My kids love seeing him though whenever we drive by.

I'm more interested in the new Desi Vega restaurant going in the old strawberry patch location

Hopefully someone has with the amount of commercials they run on 98.9, a local radio station that doesn’t have that many paid advertisements.

Yeah I saw somewhere that for the most part all or most of the true #1s get shipped up there because they pay top dollar.

I do a bit of entertaining clients in the Baltimore area and have seen them at $120-$160/dozen for #1's. Crazy.

Its like I told my cousin and try to tell people here, crawfish prices will forever be where they are at because people here in Texas will pay top dollar. Places are selling out already with $8.99-$10 a lb prices.

The owners should give the kid some sunglasses, black wayfarer type. It’d be better seeing a “cool” crab standing there and probably less humiliating for the kid

So you only eat food from your region your entire life?

Never been there but whenever I'm in D.C./MD/VA, I always make it a point to drop by G&M Restaurant to pick up tubs of crab cakes.

The Chesapeake produces a lot of crabs, but folks up there eat a lot of them too. Used to be a cheap meal years ago. Not any more.

But the place probably gets all of its seafood from Louisiana. The label "Maryland" carries no weight in Louisiana.
