Marjie's Grill team opening seafood centric spot on Oak Street

In the old La Casita location.
That is a great location IMO for a place from them with a seafood theme. I am pumped.

Spot is something of restaurant graveyard it seems to me.
I wish them well, though. I like Marjies and the fact that they can make THAT location work for them would probably indicate they could make this one do so.

They have a following and I think a lot of people don't go to Marjie's more regularly because of the shite location. This is easy to get to, park, and there is nothing like it nearby.

I know. I generally agreed with you. Just thought the "great location" was funny given that goofy spot. As we both basically stated, if they can make their current shite location work, they should be able to do so at this one.
There doesn't seem to be any real reason that spot HAS to be a restaurant graveyard It just seems to be saddled with that notion, though, for whatever reason.

Love Marjies. I hope that they can find success in this new restaurant, given that (as others above have mentioned) the location has had a lot of turnover.

Why, on God's green earth, would anyone open a restaurant right now? Seems like just putting it all on black or red has better odds.
