Marinated Crab Salad ... looking for a recipe.

I remember my Dad would bring home this marinated crab salad from Whitey's on Downman in New Orleans East. He usually brought it home for our Mom as a peace maker for staying out too late (usually worked).
Anybody familiar with it or have a recipe?
It was boiled blue crabs halved and cleaned, tossed in a marinade that had stuff like olive oil, parsley, fresh garlic, other herbs, maybe some lemon juice ... I keep playing with trying to create it and I'm just not getting it.
Any of you guys familiar with this?

I make this one from Mosca's a lot. I recommend making your own giardeniera rather than using the store bought one.

West Indies Salad
This has been a staple in our household for decades. We have a few little tweaks, add some celery salt and/or finely chopped celery. Sometimes some garlic, but it overpowers quickly. Garnish with parsley or dill

Love the West Indies salad! I usually use sweet onion when I make it.

There are a couple of recipes in the recipe collection for marinated crab claws. Maybe that could give you some ideas.
