Equal parts good tequila, Cointreau, simple syrup, then the juice of one lime, shake, pour into salt rimmed tumbler with ice, enjoy...

This is kind of a “trashy” version, but it’s really good. Pour a 12oz frozen limeade into a pitcher; fill can up with 12 oz tequila and add; fill can up with 12 oz sprite and add; then pour in a Corona beer and stir and serve on ice.

I squeeze 1 lime into a shaker. Add an ounce of Cointreau and 2 oz tequila. Stir. Pour over ice in glass with salted rim.

Really as simple as this. I do a gentle shake with ice in the shaker and then strain over a salted glass filled with ice.

I've found a good alternative to Cointreau is Patron Citronge. A good bit less expensive but makes a damn good margarita.

2 to 1 ratio of tequila to triple sec. Squeeze of lime.

Although lately I've picked up this margarita mixer from Target and it's pretty solid.

The Costco marg mix is pretty good, it uses 100% real sugar and lime juice from concentrate.

It's hard to beat the classic, but when making a larger batch I have an easy alternative that everyone raves about when I make margaritas for a crowd (it gets difficult to make 10 traditional margaritas).

2 parts good tequila, one part cointreau/grand marnier/or triple sec, 2 parts Simply Limeade. Its gotta be the Simply brand though.

This ratio works well for most marg mixes also.

Same as the recipes posted above. I usually make mine with more lime.

2 parts Lime, 2 Tequila, 1 Orange Liqueur, 1 Simple Syrup/Agave. Then I usually dilute with water to taste.

I'm cheap so I use off brand orange liqueur instead of Cointreau. It's still 80 proof so you're not losing alcohol content. I can't tell the difference in a margarita. You can usually find it at Albertsons.

I go with a 3-2-1 ratio.
3 parts good tequila (lately I do Espolon, but love herradura)
2 parts fresh squeezed lime juice
1 part orange liqueur - pick your fav. I’ve been rocking with Dekuyper’s Licor 43
Combine.
Shake with ice - can then be served neat.
Or shake without ice and serve over rocks.

Fresh lime juice is key along with good tequila.

Made a big container a couple of weekends ago for our little Cuatro de Mayo get together. No set recipe just winged it.

2 of these. Then using one of the cans, did 5 parts water and 2 parts tequilla (which was the whole bottle)

Threw in about half the bottle of a this guy

Felt like it needed something more. Some chick my SO is friends with left this little bastard in my fridge so I just dumped the whole bottle in.

I stand behind that being one of the best margaritas I made.

Juice 1 lime, 2 oz tequila, 1 oz good triple sec, and a squeeze of agave nectar...shake and enjoy. Discovering agave nectar has really taken my margs to the next level

If you’re using any kind of powder or juice “margarita mix” you’re doing it all wrong.

Mezcal are in right now

2 oz of Topa
Solid pour or mezcal
1/2 oz agave nectar
Squeeze half lime

Shake

Cointreau topper

Ingredients

-1 lime, halved
-Coarse salt
-1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice, from about 4 limes
-1 tablespoon sugar
-1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
-1/4 cup Triple Sec
-1 cup gold tequila
-Ice
-1/2 can good quality lager-style beer
-Lime wheels, for garnish

Directions

To salt the margarita glasses, rub the outside rims of 4 big glasses with a cut lime and press them lightly into a plate of kosher salt, to coat.

Combine the lime juice, sugar, orange liqueur, Triple Sec, tequila, and a big handful of ice in a cocktail shaker (or blender). Shake the margarita really well, for a good 20 seconds, add a splash of beer and strain into the salt rimmed glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
