My parents tried to go there last week and found it closed. Went to Jubans instead and were disappointed. Fish was dry and I forget what else, but it wasn't as good as they'd remembered.

Thats surprising...I've only been twice but there was a good crowd both times, and I've always heard good things about the place...

Can't say I'm disappointed.
I hope every business in that building fails.
I hope the SD shopping center is bulldozed in a few years.
Unless and until Rodney or his family get to bring Southdowns Lounge back to its rightful place.

Their menu is weak compared to what Marcello's was doing. All of their entrees are Tilapia except the Mahi Mahi one.

Owner was tired of the long, late hours and dealing with the crap. The buyers made a good offer and he took it. I'll miss the place.

Agreed. It looks like they should have a Tilapia farm out back with that menu.
