Paw claws at Dawg House

Ponchatoulas
Brister's Smokehouse

Raw is the best place in town but I think they are dinner only if I remember right from my time there.

Not very good, I think. If you are from Laffyette (I think) you aren't going to like it.

Sundown

Turkey melt is great and the restaurant has a cool vibe, but if you are in a hurry don't go. It could take a while

El Jar

Good Mexican.

My other recommendation would be bristers. It's technically a barbecue spot, but it's more of a sandwich shop to me. I get the scatter load with pepper jack cheese.

Add Log Cabin to the list. Chicken fried steak is good (poster here loves it)

Sorry to hijack but happened on the thread. Is Sara’s Kitchen still open there? Was an all time great in the 80/90s.

Sadly no. It's been closed for several years. Ms. Sara died in November.
