Spirits is like chimes, probably your best all around bet of good food and atmosphere.

Koals has top notch BBQ. Noodles and Grill is my go to for pho and noodles. Quebideauxs in Alexandria has great plate lunches. Critics choice has a good menu (get the hot Italian grinder w/ peppers). Wildwood pizza is awesome. Whatever you do, get dessert at Doce Vida. It is a Brazilian bakery. There is absolutely NOTHING that isn’t awesome in that place.

We go to pho u but my Asian buddy says noodles and grill is better and less salty… haven’t gone yet though. I can only do pho in winter

My favorite was Viet Thai Bistro, but they sold to new owners who I hear are Indian.

and if you're up to an adventure, try the gumbo at Kajun Kitchen on Sterkx. Carryout only but normally very good gumbo.

Buckets in pineville is a hell of a deal.

The Popeyes was awesome, waited 15 min for dark spicy! LOL
Had my dates off, leaving the house this am and we’ll be there today for lunch. I’ll report back.
