Is your boil time 10 min including the time from putting it in or when it starts to roll again? I boil for 4-5 min rolling boil then kill add ice then soak for 20-25.
I would think 10 min rolling boil and no ice would be overcooked. But 10 min is probably the amount of time it takes to go from adding crawfish to rolling too so depends on the definition of 10 min.

I kill the fire 5 min. after it starts to steam again... usually about 10-12 minutes after dropping the basket.
Soak 20-30 minutes

I prefer Louisana Brand, but the Zat's Pro Boil is ok too.

Like I said, I've had no significant problem with overcooking.
I'll look into it a bit further...

i do about 2-3 minutes rolling boil, kill it, then dump in frozen corn, some smoked sausage, and shrooms. I don't do the ice thing, but the corn and stuff serves the same purpose without having to buy ice.
I let it soak for a good while, longer when drunk. Do it to taste, not to time.

Well the easiest thing to do is make ice in a bunch of milk jugs then tie a string to that and dunk it.
