lol, and the Louisiana rep lady called me after reading my email and SWORE up and down not one single thing was changed...she even read through this thread while on the phone with me and had a few laughs. Higher salt contents mean more filler and less spice/taste

Not surprised

On a side note, neighborhood Wal-Mart on Lee and Highland has Cajun land seasoning

My second batch was way too salty using LA. Gonna try the Cajun land. How much salt do y'all ad in with it?

You should also try Montalbano's

Picked some up Saturday and they were excellent. Their corn and potatoes however were not good.

since LA increased its salt, i think chackbay compliments it well since there is zero salt in chackbay

I know I have a bag of Louisiana with the lower salt content. Should I use 1 bag of Louisiana and 1 bag of Chackbay? I am cooking 2 sacks on Good Friday.

Do you normally use 1 bag of La on your first batch? If so, do your normal thing on the 1st batch and go ahead and toss in the bag of chackbay. Its only adding different blend of seasoning without adding salt.

I have never added salt to mine while using LA.

Second batch, rule of thumb is half of everything as far as seasonings go

I only have 1 bag of Chackbay, so just use another 1/2 half bag of La for the 2nd batch?

I also use the liquid boil, but was asking about the La and Chackbay for the second batch.

Where can we find Chackbay at in BR? I see they have it on Amazon but I'd prefer to buy it in-store if I can

I went home and checked my La seasonings, and sure enough 1 bag is 12% sodium and the other bag is 17% sodium.
