know what you're meaning to say, but still . Yeah that could confuse the hell out of a tourist for sure.

Don’t sleep on Mr. B’s for bananas foster (and gumbo, turtle soup, and bbq shrimp).

I don't believe Mr. B's serves bananas foster, though I had a bananas foster shake there that was very good.

Check out the Stanley menu I posted…in their Salads and Soups…

Filet Gumbo.

What the frick is that? That a typo for filé? Wow, now I’m irrationally triggered. Someone thought the Filet Mignon was the same filé as filé?

Whoever proofed the menu needs to get a new job. I wonder how long that's been up?

Reminds me of a funny incident. We went to a restaurant for dinner which had a chalk board in the lobby area listing the specials for the night. One of the items was "duck cells". I couldn't help myself. I had to ask the waiter what type of dish it was. Of course, he described duxelles.

The grits and grillades at Gris Gris on magazine might be my favorite dish. It’s sous vide chicken gizzards over stone ground grits. I like it with a sunny side up egg on top.

For beignets try Cafe DuMonde in City Park-there is a kids playground right next door for your kids.

Such a good recommendation.. specially if the weather's nice.

You know, you’re right. I can almost picture having it there, but I checked and it’s not on the menu.

There are lots of fuzzy memories of meals in the quarter, and I’m clearly confused.
