I just went to Muriel's. $28.85/per person for a 3 course meal not including drinks. All the food you have to choose from is fantastic. Also wine by the glass isn't too expensive, or you can bring a couple of bottles from home and pay the corking fee. Another idea is Dick & Jenny's or Dante's kitchen. Check them out online and you can price the menu. Vincent's also has some good not too expensive Italian. It's near Carrolton and St. Charles.

Superior Grill on St Charles is right up your alley.

If that's really the limit then you might as well just have a party at your house.

You're not going to find many decent places in that price range (assuming you all will be drinking as well).

Depends on if he includes drinks or not in the figure.. I figure if he includes drinks then entrees need to be around 12-15 dollars.

Mandina's, Liuzza's, Joey K's if drinks are included.

If $25 for just food, Dick and Jenny's, Cafe Atchafalaya, Rio Mar.

Honestly, the best of both worlds in that price range would be a BYO place...I would rec. Lola's, Adolfo's and Eat in that order.

If you want to know anymore information about them I will be happy to expound.

I have never had a bad thing there....ceviche is my favorite, empanadas are very good....I also find their daily specials to be very good. I have never ordered and entree off the menu though (more of a share a lot of small plates kind of place).

I had another wonderful meal there on Friday. The stuff that chef can do with hanger steaks is unreal.

La Boca is one of those restaurants that I really can't speak highly enough about.

Last time I was there, I joked with him about opening a third place in the Warehouse District, and he said its in the works. I suspect something South American, but who knows. I hope he wasnt joking because everyhting he touches is gold.

I want to try La Boca. But I still had a bad meal at Rio Mar and its been hard to shake that. But even my sister who loves the place claimed it was a bad night.

We were talking with the waiter about them needing to move because it was ashame more people can't get into the place to try the food. The waiter said something about them looking at spots in Kenner. I find this really hard to believe.

I really like all of the half bottle selections of wines they have at pretty moderate prices.
