Lighthouse Coffee Shop in Baton Rouge provides incredible description of their business

Light House Coffee exists to serve the world through a Baton Rouge coffee experience.
We will provide an inviting space to sip on a cup of specialty coffee or other beverage of choice. Behind the counter, we will carefully choose coffee roasters who source their beans through direct trade. This ensures that coffee farmers receive as much compensation as possible for their product and labor. We will also be intentional about hiring and training our staff in order to give opportunities to displaced people who have come to our city.
Your purchase will not only gratify the need for caffeine and a break in the day, but it will also gratify the desire to give back. Your coffee will give hope and dignity to the world.
this might be some of the best virtue signaling i've ever read
i live close by so i hope the coffee is good

The parking lot will be full of Prius's with Bernie bumper stickers

Is this a way of lowering service expectations while heading off customer complaints about service?

Sounds like every other hippy indie coffee place.

“What? In my country, it okay to shite on roasting floor.”

I thought it was liberals who were supposed to be the easily triggered snowflakes.

Right. The last line was the only thing that made me chuckle.
I was expecting worse considering I read your “worst virtue signaling ever” comment before I decided to read.
I was disappointed.

I think I’ll start a thread about it

Sounds like a Chripster (Christian Hipster) joint. We are thick with them up here.

No it sounds like a pre-emptive strike explaining why the coffee is $6 per cup.

But every time a girl sucks my dick, an angel gets its wings...
That last line is such bullshite it makes me want to puke.

I hate it when businesses incorporate altruism into their model.
All they are really talking about is supporting growers that are not screwing over the locals in coffee growing regions and providing jobs for people who need them.
These are basically the same type of people who started the breweries that many people here fawn over.
And many here are big on the locally sourced produce and meat, and the local hardware stores. These are the same people.
Lot of bitterness here.

That's because they grind their coffee too finely.

Yep. I really could care less about that donating and using local grower stuff, but every place that says this type stuff is about 1.5x the price of a "regular" place.
