When Alton Brown lost a bunch of weight years ago, he said a big part of it was regularly eating a Sardine-Avocado Sandwich AKA a Sardicado Sandwich.
I made one years back. I like sardines and love avocados, but it was just alright to me. Prefer to keep each ingredient in its own lane.

King Oliver is an old line that doesn't jack the price up for all the colorful artwork the newer brands use. Retailers might move the KO price up due to popularity. Note that if the label is only on a box or paper wrapper, the "brand" is a packager possibly using varying sources. Don't expect consistency.

I started making fish cakes for something different. I used Fishwife w/ peppers, combined panko bread crumbs, egg, scallion…a few minutes in pan on each side with a little olive oil. Great with a side salad

I care where the fish comes from, how it was caught, how it was prepared, how it is packaged, etc. Patagonia discloses and documents all of that
comes from the ocean
caught in a net
prepared in a large kettle
packages in a tin can.
If you think you are saving the whales by buying overpriced tinned fish, good for you............Most here are not that stupid.

I’ve ordered oysters for delivery from this place the last several years for Xmas. Added tinned clams, tuna belly, and octopus last year. Expensive but high quality and very tasty. Nice host gifts too.
