Somewhat new to the cigar world. What is everyone’s favorite way to cut a cigar? Straight, v cut or punch?

Straight but honestly whichever one doesn’t mean me fricking up the cap and ruining the cigar .

One of the worst feelings is cutting it too far down.

Famous Smoke must have known I was a newbie and sent a cutter with backstop in my first order. It only allows you to cut just enough off the cap.

I go straight if I have all my devices. I keep a punch on my keys for when I'm in a pinch

I've been on a v cut kick lately. It also allows for a cross cut that gives a nice draw. But it really depends on the day. I do like a good punch as well.

And yes we are about to hit prime cigar season. I loaded up for the next few weekends.

Went with nice My Father and Weller SR tonight.

Happy Friday gents!

Monte White Series is a good one for that profile. I like the toro size. A hefty cigar for when you have about 1.5-2 hours to spare.

CAO America, last one from the humidor. I’ve been fond of V cuts for awhile now and a punch cut on smaller cigars. Geaux Tigers!

Great night for a smoke. Had another fine Avo Uvezian and an old fashion to celebrate the good Tigers winning!

V cut for me as well. A little trick I was taught when I first started was to find a flat surface and place the cigar in the straight cutter upside down on the flat surface before cutting. That way you never ruin the cap.

Been a while. Had to take a week off to reset my palate.

Had this Sumatra in my humi for a while.

Tried to get a good pic, 0.003 seconds before the dog decided to run up lol.

I love cigars with a Sumatra wrapper. This one is very enjoyable.
