What's up folks?
How is that, Dawg? I knew Tim way back in the early aughts. Good friend was friends with his sister, too. I hope they're good cigars.

I made a good find on Cigar Page, a brand named Grande y Gordo, it's a bundle likely made by Raymond Pages, these are actually fantastic.

I need to smoke another OZ but the one I smoked cracked around the circumference in the middle middle of the stick. It was from a B&M and I dry boxed it for a few hours. I have a robusto that I’ll try soon. It did take his World Cup themed release out of consideration for a box purchase.

I’ve enjoyed most of my recent sticks. I’ve now tried both Tabernacles and loved them. The Padron 1964 was a hit at the retreat. I rotated my electric humidor sticks and have been exploring more Garcia blends. The two negative experiences were the Zino Honduras (multiple relights/tight draw/too mild) and a Hemingway Classic from a box I bought in 2012 (too much age and my changed pallet.

Now I’ve turned my attention towards a visit to Cigar Disney World (Corona CC) next Saturday. I bought most of my singles during their fall sale last weekend. I’ve been planning to come back with a handful of boxes. Le Bijou Años, Tabernacle Toro, and Perdomo F&S for sure. I’m hoping they get in the new Amazon Basin. My kid (21) needs his humidor topped off so I’ll grab a box of 858s and a house blend bundle to get him through football season/winter.

Perdomo 20th Maduro Torpedo ordered from CCC, arrived this morning, and lit up 3 hours later. Great flavor while going right up to that fine line of being too strong as I enter the middle third.

ETA: Followed it up with a FDLA Toro. Not a bad $10 stick. It lasted about a half hour longer and I didn’t experience any issues until the final quarter. It’s not box worthy but I would enjoy an occasional single. (This stick came out of a MF Father’s Day sampler.)

What is everyone else enjoying on this beautiful fall afternoon of college football?

So this one may have forced its way onto my list of box purchases while in Orlando this weekend. A total chocolate bar with a few touch-ups needed but so smooth until the final 1.5”.

Is it odd that the only Foundation cigar I’ve really liked is the Tabernacle? Not that the Olmec is bad but there are multiple cigars that run laps around it at its price point.

Haven’t had time to sit and smoke in a while. But, I do smoke these Havanas at work on breaks.

Had a La Gloria Cubana Spanish press this evening. Was a very enjoyable smoke. First time having that one. I’ve had a few of the series R and thoroughly enjoyed them.

I finally made it back to Corona today. Enjoyed a EPC Pledge (not a fan) and Perdomo 15 Year epicure. Bought a few boxes as well. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

When you have to take over your wife’s beach bag and give your new cigars their own seat…

I smoked the first one today. Corona Cigar Company Barrio Blend Toro Gordo.

Decent 90 minute smoke but not good enough to buy a bundle of 50. I’m glad I bought one to sample.

The weather has finally started to turn in Texas! I didn't get a pic of them but I had 3 great cigars 2 Perdomos and one of the new Bocock Brothers with my ole man last weekend in KY for the LSU game. It was the 1st time in a while we got to sit back, burn one down and chat.

Went with a My Father and a Michters 10yr old Rye. Happy Friday gents!

My Father's are a great cigar.

Read this initially as "had a cigar with my father out by the fire pit." What I would give to have another talk with my old man.

Cheers gents!

It was a bit cold today and I know tomorrow is going to be a heavy day so I abstained today. We’re planning to enjoy the full Sunday slate of games enjoying cigars. Going to start with a Connecticut to start the morning. I’m debating between the San Cristobal Laviathan or the MF Blue Toro Gordo to start the afternoon. Maybe a La Lealtad for the late game. This is my favorite time of the year.

Not a bad way to start the day. It was a bit of a late night so my day started with the noon games. 1st half was a Sin Compromiso Gran Elefante. Great way to start off. A couple of touchups but smooth as hell.

I went with a La Lealtad Torpedo for the second half. Despite being a smaller vitola it produced much more smoke. My son just had one cigar and enjoyed second hand smoking my second half stick. I had been letting this stick rest for about 5 months and age helped the flavors shine.
