I was doing some yard work and had to thin out my lemon grass. I love lemon grass simple syrup with cocktails involving Gin.

Steep for awhile

I think so. It dies with a freeze but it comes back in the spring. We haven’t had a significant freeze this year so it’s still going strong. I would like to make lemongrass soup but I haven’t gotten around to it yet

I can see this being good in a gin martini. sure the vermouth is dry, but a touch of this wouldn't oversweeten it and it would yield that bright lemongrass.

How do you use it? What cocktails do you mix?

Depends what zone. It is most certainly not a perennial for me in zone 7a. I have to replantit every year. It has a better chance in zone 8b and higher.

We used to have a bad wasp problem around our garage, but once we started planting lemongrass around the garage, the wasps went away. We didn't know that when planting, but it turns out it's really good at keeping wasps away.
