I *might* currently reside in Gonzales, but not from here. When I do research, I check multiple sources, but that's just me.

I thought Gonzillians research mostly consisted of which gas station sold malt liquor forties?

Try the $59.99 veal chop.

Hit and miss, mostly hit. When compared to the place across the street people fawn over, and most paces here in the area they are much much much more ambitious in their menu, do tend to do most things pretty well, and have good food principles from my experiences with them. I can easily be critical, but when I look at things in perspective of what options we do have to pick from here, I think it defeats the purpose.

You can do MUCH worse than Le Creole, much worse.

Howdy Gonzales! I believe my fav bartender at Le Creole mentioned that they are hosting the Chaine group tonight in their private room. I know you asked for the heads up although I'm sure you weren't invited. Don't feel bad, I wasn't either but I'm guessing that group doesn't go to places that are as terrible as you rate LC. Have a super brunch shift tomorrow!!

What?

When did they get a private room? And where could it possibly be?

They bought out Williamson eyewear in the suite next door to expand the bar and add a new private room which I assume will feature a plaque that yobrando will cry to?

One of my favorites, but then again the chef is a personal friend (Ryan Andre'). I will say the Sunday brunch was seriously disappointing. Too salty to eat

assumption is your mom. we have our own plaque, so viewing L.C. wont be necessary...if they even get one. im sure they were impressed by the grits.

was ok. i do not like a soft waffle.

my biggest question is why is there an accent on the last e? créole is a real french word, is creolé? should i pronounce this with a long 'a' vowel sound at the end of the word (3 syllables)?

After looking at the menu, I really want to try this place out. Most of the entree prices actually looked reasonable to me. Seems kind of like a poor man's Patois, and I say that because the reaction isn't nearly as enthusiastic, but it looks better than most places I've encountered in BR

Have you dined outside the prestigious Gonzales area?

Actually Gonzales has some really great places to dine at. Latils at Houmas House is a finer restaurant than anywhere in BR. Also, several great places to get a meal. The Cabin, Kamal's, Bernadette's, Mikes Po-boys....just to name a few off the top of my head.

I personally would take any of those places before le creole. Been there a few times. Not rushing to get back.

What exactly is overpriced? Or is it just too pricy for you? Please explain. My friends and family have never blinked at a $14 brunch entree but maybe you know more than I
