Lakeview Harbor vs Port of Call

Are both places run by the same people? I heard this a while back and wasn't sure.
I recently had Lakview Harbor and their burger is very similar to Port Of Call's. Same size patty, both use shredded cheese, baked potatoes tasted the same, etc.
I still give the slight edge to Port of Call though. Who ya got?

Port of Call hands down. Last time I had Lakeview Harbor it was disgusting. Not even in the same ballpark as Port of Call.
On a side note, the Bulldog on Canal also has excellent burgers.

Don't hold me to this, but I think the owner of Lakview Harbor was originally a part owner of Port of Call.

The Luke burger kicks both of their asses.

I've not had the burger from Luke.
I only went once and something else, which was pretty forgettable.
I work around the corner. I guess I need to give it another shot.

The owner of SNUG Harbor on Frenchman also owns Port of Call...by his own admission, the quality is vastly superior at Snug Harbor.
It is the best burger in the city in my opinion.
Also good, Yo Mama's, Dickie Brennan's, The Swamp Room.

Beachcorner on Canal St. also has good burgers for a bar. Somehow though it is always lingerie night when my friends decide they want to eat there. It is kind of awkward to eat a burger with scantily-clad women walking around.

Good food and random scantily-clad women rarely mix well.
When I was in Vienna, my friends and I went to this all-you-can eat conveyer belt sushi place...little did we know it doubled as a performance-style strip club with nude dancing.
All-you-can-eat sushi + strippers=

There seems to be a lot wrong with that restaurant. Crazy Europeans.

You guys are good with down-playing the topic and talking about other things.

I haven't been to Lakeview Harbor in a long time. I went to Port of Call last week and it was still a great burger. However, I don't know if I am willing to wait two hours for a $10 burger when there are other good options in town. Sorry for hijacking your thread.

I addressed the confusion in your initial post...went on to state my personal favorite was Snug Harbor...then added some more good places that had yet to be mentioned.

I agree...for what you have to do to get a burger at Port of Call, it is completely overrated.
And I am blaming the hijack on hen...I mean, menitoning scantily-clad women on a burger thread...I thought better of you.

I agree, but its almost worth going there to get a Monsoon.

I apologize. I was just trying to take the burger thread to another level. With greatest humility, I will stay on topic from now on.

I was joking of course...its Friday afternoon, so my whole brain is off topic right now.
In an attempt to stay on topic...Oscar's on Metairie Road has a good burger/baked potato as does Phil's Grill (I am not as enthralled with the latter as some though).

agreed although I have found a Monsoon greatly enhances the POC experience
