They are not a pig in a blanket. The "dough" is more of a crescent'ish type roll and they use danish sausages instead of hot-dogs.

I have never had one like this, all the ones Ive had were the pastry type with fruit fillings.

Then again the only ones Ive had came from a very very very small Czech town in the middle of nowhere Nebraska.

best ones are out in central Texas,, west of Austin

Kolaches are NOT "pigs in blankets." The crap that is served under the name of "kolache" at Mary Lee donuts is a pig in a blanket.

They are God's tasty, delicious gift to us humans, all wrapped up in a yeast roll.

If you've ever had a bacon, egg, and cheese kolache from The Kolache Factory, or Morning Kolaches, you'll know the glory of which I speak.
