Looking to do a kitchen remodel at the beginning of this coming year. I know we just had a no budget thread regarding appliances. Well, we do have a budget and are looking for well made and good quality. Need double oven ($2k range), dishwasher and full sized freezer and full sized fridge side by side combo ($2-3K range). What are your suggestions?

We have home automation, so interesting features like that are welcome as well, if you have experience with them. TIA

What's the deal with everyone needing a double oven? Seems extremely wasteful especially if you are doing budget.

I can see that, but we entertain a lot and use our current double oven quite a bit. It is something I don't mind budgeting for.

I had a place that had an old double oven from the 80’s, or back when they made them and they weren’t so big they took up twice the space.

You start to use it and get accustomed to having it. It’s nice.

With regard to double ovens, yes, get them. Get the largest size. I can’t recall the size of mine, but size definitely matters.

I can’t imagine not having two ovens. I cook a lot. Have a warming drawer too. Wish I had three ovens. My mom has 4.

Places like Lowes and Best Buy have open box appliances. We got a nice fridge that was scratched when it was delivered to another house, they took 1000.00 off and we were able to replace the panel for 100.00. Still has warranty and free delivery set up. Best Buy will match prices you find online from Amazon too.

I have the Frigidaire Professional “all fridge” and “all freezer” with the install kit. Price was reasonable and they are something that gets mentioned by everyone that walks in the kitchen. Can’t recommend enough.

Thanks! That is the particular one I was looking at. Is it loud? That is one of the complaints that I have read about it. The kitchen will open into the living room so I don't want to have to have the tv on full blast to hear over the fridge.

Honestly new appliances are like cars personal preference beats recommendations. I prefer simpler and plain. But most go for options.
Stay away from nxr.

I have a double electric dacor and a double Viking we use for my wife's baking. The Dacor has needed hundreds in repairs, the Viking, none.

I have that frigidaire set as well in our newly built house. Don't find it too noisy at all. Get compliments all the time
