Are they better steamed or boiled? If steamed, what is the best mehod with a crawfish pot?

Steamed.

They just need to be warmed up, don't overcook them.

I put them on a rack in a roasting pan covered in foil. High can stack quite a few up that way.

Throw frozen king crab legs on the smoker for about 30-45 minutes until they're steamed hot and pick up a little smoke flavor. Killer.

Drop 3 foil balls under the basket to raise it up an inch or 2 to just level with the top of the pot. Fill with a bit of water and start steaming.

Definitely steamed. I steam on the stove. No water touches the legs. The smoked suggestion sounds great. I’ve had them split and grilled. Outstanding.

The Alton Brown method of steaming them in the microwave works well.
